Mr OREKE

Mr. Oreke discovered the pictorial arts through graffiti in the early 2000s. Using spray paint cans, he began by decorating walls with his colorful drawings, before extending his gesture onto canvas. Producing his works in a resolutely abstract style, the painter would, a few years later, insert male and female portraits, designed using stencils. 

Mr. Oreke's signature is his backgrounds, which he works mainly with spray paint, in the style of graffiti. Once the canvas is covered with spray paint, the artist mixes in ink and acrylic.

His characters complete the picture, adding the finishing touch to the often humorous story the painter wants to tell.
Described by the artist as "Street Pop Art", his style is resolutely contemporary, imbued with energy and fantasy.
