DENIS OUCH
Denis Ouch is a Russian artist based in New York. He has been practicing his art for over 15 years.
With no formal training, he is completely self-taught.
As a teenager, he did graffiti in St Petersburg, Russia.
Denis naturally inherited a sense of color and composition. Creating art by taking an image or an idea and putting it into another context is Ouch's approach.
"Screen printing gives me the opportunity to show how I feel. It's as fast-paced as our lives. I can put all my emotions into a work of art, almost instantly."
A few days ago, he painted a huge mural of Elvis Presley on a wall in Brooklyn, the home of New York street art.
At Art Basel in Miami, he covered an entire wall with one of his favorite characters: Elvis, with a banana instead of a gun.
